Intoducing first...
Bonnie brings brains, experience, and just enough patience to keep Dan from derailing every episode. She’s currently an online learning facilitator with the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre, helping students stay on track in the wild world of remote education. Before that, she earned her BA in Archaeology from the University of Calgary—so, yes, she’s literally trained to dig up the past, which comes in handy when Dan starts talking about local history or his “glory days.”
She’s also spent a good part of her career as a sales representative for several major corporations, mastering the art of communication, persuasion, and reading people—a talent that shines through in her interviews and her uncanny ability to make guests feel comfortable (even when Dan’s jokes don’t land).
Dan, on the other hand, is the show’s creative storm. An entertainer, songwriter, writer, and magic creator, he brings a mix of charm and chaos to every episode. When he’s not performing as Danny Kazam, he works part-time at the Heritage Home in Lumsden, spreading joy and laughter to the residents there. His experience in entertainment and storytelling gives the podcast its flair, its rhythm, and sometimes its absurdity.
Together, Bonnie and Dan make The River Valley Podcast more than just a local news show—it’s a reflection of small-town life at its finest: honest, funny, unpredictable, and deeply human.
