At The River Valley Podcast, we’re passionate about telling the stories that shape our community — the history, culture, and people who make this valley so unique. As we continue to grow, we’re committed to ensuring that the stories we share are authentic, inclusive, and respectful of all voices, especially those of the Indigenous peoples who have called this land home for generations.
That’s why we’re looking for an Indigenous Consultant to join our team.
This is a volunteer position for now, but we see it as an essential step toward something bigger. As our podcast expands and gains more community support, there’s potential for this role to evolve into a paid position in the future.
The consultant will help guide how we represent Indigenous history, perspectives, and stories within our episodes. They’ll provide cultural insight, help ensure accuracy, and assist us in building respectful relationships with Indigenous communities and storytellers.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Passionate about storytelling and preserving cultural history
Knowledgeable about Indigenous heritage and contemporary issues
Comfortable offering feedback and ideas on podcast content
Excited to help educate and inspire our audience in a meaningful way
At The River Valley Podcast, we believe every voice matters, and this is an opportunity to help ensure those voices are heard — honestly, respectfully, and proudly.
If you or someone you know would be interested in becoming our Indigenous Consultant, please contact us through our website or social media pages.
Together, we can continue sharing the stories that unite and uplift our community.
